What is SYATP all about?
See You at the Pole is a student-initiated, student organized, and student-led event. That means this is all about students meeting at their school flagpole to pray – for their school, friends, teachers, government and their nation. See You at the Pole is not a demonstration, political rally, not a stand for or against anything.
How did SYATP begin?
A small group of teenagers in Texas came together for a DiscipleNow weekend in early 1990. Compelled to pray, they went to school flagpoles and prayed for their friends, schools and leaders. Since then millions of students from all 50 states in America and more than 20 countries around the world, including Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea, Guam, Turkey have taken part in SYATP.
Read reports of last year’s SYATP here.
How you can be involved
SYATP will take place in Singapore at your school’s flagpole on 8th August 2007 (National Day eve) morning before assembly. We will be praying for the nation, your school and your friends. Come join us and bring your other Christian friends along!
What’s next after SYATP?
Here are some suggestions:
1. Start your own weekly prayer meetings before assembly.
2. Join an existing weekly prayer meeting in your school.
3. Join a discipleship group with Student Venture.
See You at the Pole on 8th August 2007 (Wed)!
